Our Cust Service people enter orders and initiate the Print Picking Tickets and direct them to print to a printer in the warehouse. What tells Macola whether or not to print a pick ticket if the Unpicked Items Only? check box is checked? (We don't use packing lists or confirm pick/ship.)

Order was entered last month and when all items had qty to ship complete, the pick ticket was printed in the warehouse (order status went to 4, a side note, why doesn't the order audit trail show this change in status?)

We missed billing 2 of the 3 items on the order. Order status now shows 1-booked. When we tried to print a new pick ticket for the remaining 2 items with the Unpicked box checked, the pt wouldn't print. (The idea is that we don't want to print duplicate pt.)

Thanks, Sue

Cliff Note version:
When you enter an order the Ship date from the header screen is carried over to the request, Promise and ship date in the line record.

When you request a pick list with shipment cutoff date the follow occurs:
- Order header status is changed to '4' picked
- Order Lines are selected for pick list printing based on the ship date in the line record as compared to pick select screen. Lines that are valid are printed and the picked date in the line item is set to the date the pick list was printed. The setting of this date is how Progression knows that a line was previously printed.

If you have lines with multiple ship dates the pick list will only print lines at the cutoff date or older. So if you filled a backorder or changed the quantity to ship those older lines should be picked up, assuming the zero qty to ship was not selected. If you were to repeat the cycle for items that ship a week later, only those items with a quantity to ship>0 would appear on the pick list and the header would be re-statused to '4'.

If you check the box that asks to include zero qty to ship, then the picked date in the line(s) for all items is set. This action will result in the problem you described because the date will be updated and the system will think the pick list is a duplicate, because the date has been set. This action is "By Design". The items should still show on the open order report.
