Order Qty Vs Shipped Qty

Hi All,
Good Morning.
When we are processing a sales order partially, we are choosing "No" for "Ship order completely". The system shows only original order quantity, Back order quantity(same as order quantity) without shipped quantity.

When we accept or choose "Yes" for "Ship order completely" , it's showing order quantity, correct shipped quantity and correct back order quantity (order qty - Shipped qty).

May I know why we are not getting the shipped quantity when we want to process the order partially.

Can someone advice us what we are supposed to do to process sales orders.

Are you not seeing instead of order quantity, the quantity ordered - previous quantity shipped?

That number would be your max I think. So instead of showing both, it just does the math.
