can some1 help me, im getting this error when i try to view certain data using a query: "System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: The text, ntext, and image data types cannot be used in an ORDER BY clause"

Sort by date Sort by votes
use LEFT(textfield,200) in the ORDER BY

it's unlikely that you will care if two rows with the exact same data in the first 200 characters of their text field are not in the correct sequence with respect to each other
