Is it possible to sort on a column in a cross table?

Ths is the table more or less

cust.no Customername shirt shoes pants ...

Not directly.

What you can do though, is create a regular select query, and include the column names from the crosstab in the select query. Then sort by whatever field you would like.

The only drawback to this approach is maintaianance becomes a nightmare.
