Order Action Report faulty?

Hello,

I'm trying to figure out whether the O/E Order Action Report in Accpac 5.5 is reliable to use.
I want to make sure that all orders for which we have received stock are being shipped to the customer.

So I have 1 order for 2 line items. 1 line item has been shipped and invoiced. Now I receipted the 2nd line item into the system and want to ship it.

I found the order action report and ran it with the following parameters:
Order Source: All Sources
Order Type: All Orders
Print Status: All Statuses
Item Status: Some Items available for shipment.

My order did not show up.
The only option that that will show me my order is if I select Item Status as 'Incomplete Orders'.
But this option also shows the orders for which we do not have inventory and are therefore not ready for shipment.

What am I doing wrong here - or is the report faulty?
 
We do, but we don't see those problems, we don't have your data. Can you reproduce it in Sample Company?
 
Strangly the report works in the sample company.

I do just a basic OE order entry in both companies in the default Accpac screens. Then I receipt a PO for part of the items on the Sales Order.
In the sample company, the Order Action Report works, but not in my own company. Both use the same report file and are installed on the same machine.

Don't understand that at all.
 
Sample data has a bad habit of working. The Order Action report is a data pipe report so you don't get to see the 'internals' at all. You could try running a SQL profiler to see what the logic is but that might not work.

Sage support will, at least, have access to the programmers who might be able to shed some light as to why your dataset isn't working.
