I have OracleXE 10.2 installed on my office PC. The Oracle services start up automatically at boot time.
I'm curious about the amount of memory it's using when I'm not actively using the database.
I've seen it vary from 9000K all the way up to 142000K. I know for a fact there are no applications running that would be using the database.
What sort of things is OracleXE doing in the background that would use that much memory?
Memory isn't that much of an issue on my machine, but other PCs we maintain also use OracleXE and may not have as much to spare.
Thanks in advance for any information.
