That's pretty funny. Personally I've found a lot of good information on Metalink, but have a lot of painful experiences dealing with telephone support. Your experience is fairly typical - they need to make a "helpful" suggestion in order to close the TAR, so they direct you to Metalink.<br>

Here's a suggestion: If you don't get a useful answer, state politely that you want to register a complaint. The telephone rep should redirect your call to a superior, who frequently has better training. You can then point out why going to Metalink is unsatisfactory, restate the question and hope for a better response. This only works with certain types of issues. It helps if you are fairly certain that there is a clear cut answer to your question and have done your homework so that you can provide all the information they will want. <br>
