Oracle8i password please???

I installed oracle8i personal edition for win98 and everytime I start the database it ask for a startup password, just password its not asking for userid or login name.
I already tried tiger, manager, change_on_install without success. Does anybody know the password, please help.

Hi,
Are you trying to start the Database from svrmgrl.
If the answer is yes then at svrmgrl promt
type
svrmgrl> connect internal
passwordracle

If this is the first time you start database, there are some username and password created by oracle8i:
uid:sys, pwd:change_on_install (sys have authority DBA)
uid:system or internal, pwd:manager
Oracle recommend you change password immediately. MCSD BW.
