oracle streams question

We have a database that has had streams up and running to another database for a long time. Over the weekend the propagate step failed with an invalid login/password entered in the oracle alert log. I have checked the stradmin password on both databases and it is still functional - any suggestions?

Well, this doesn't really make sense but, I recreated the dblink with the same userid and password that is in sys.link$ and it worked.....I have no idea what caused it to break.

I may assume that your sql*net settings were temporary changed and that connection was opened to another db. But as it works now you can not verify my assumption
