I'm setting right infront of an Oracle server which as Oracle 9i! I opened the Enterprise manager tool and I'm staring at it knowing absolutely nothing!

I just want to create a database , I have a DBA book that I've read , I just don't know how to start creating a database! I just want to add a single table in the database with for example an ID , First Name , Last Name and that's it!

I know how to use SQL , I just don't know how I should start . .

Can someone be any help for me here . . Thanking you in advance and awaiting a reply from you guys.

When you opened the Enterprise Manager what did you connect to?

To effectively use Oracle you really need to read first, act later..
Look at the docs or go to
and register( its free)..You will find documentation, white papers, etc..
(The older docs are a little hard to find but they are there- BTW, why 8i when 9.2 is the current release)

Oracle is not a system you can easily learn by 'doing' -
You will need to undeerstand the basic concepts at least ( and how it differs greatly from apps like Access or SqlServer)
