I want to create a report that displays employees & their corresponding extensions. However, I only know basic ways to manipulate the data appearance. As of right now, the data takes up less than half of the width of the paper.

What I would like is for two columns of employees & extensions. In other words, instead of the data starting over on a new page, it starts at the top of the existing page.

I hope this make sense.

Here is a basic illustration:

241 Adams, Joan | 243 Jett, Josh
258 Barcley, Richard | 297 Kip, Cacey

etc ...

If this is possible, please let me know.

Make the Print Direction property of the repeating frame to be Down/Across.

Thank you for your response. I changed the print direction of my two repeating frames. Nothing changed. In the Paper Design, it outlined everything in red. I assume out of an error on my part.

I'll keep playing, but if you have any other suggestions, I thank you.

Not sure what the second repeating frame is. According to your descripdtion, there should be only one. If you still see the single column, the chances are the frame is too wide to fit into the page width more than one time. Reduce the width of the frame to just encompass your fields (employee and extension).

Sorry for the delayed response, there is a repeating frame for office and another repeating frame for employee ||''|| extension.

By way of the data model layout, i created a break group w/office.

I can get the down-across layout with only one repeating frame report. However, i have to delete the frame that surrounds the header & repeating frame.

I have checked the width and it is small enough to encompass at least 2 more times.

Thank you for your help.

If you created the report using the Wizard, it usually places a lot of extra non-repeating frames in the layout. It is possible that one of those frames is not allowing for internal repeating frames to expand horizontally.
Now, if you have two repeating frames, the outer one, that for the office, should be as wide as a page and have the fixed horizontal elasticity. Only the inner repeating frame, that for employees/extensions, should be down/accross.
