Hi,
Does anyone know of the glaring differences between the two? I know of Crystal's amazing charting/graphing capability which is far superior to Oracle's. In other words, does Oracle Reports have something on Crystal at all? Maybe it's not possible to run a Crystal Report from one of Oracle's products? Example: can a Crystal Report be run via the Concurrent Manager in Oracle Financials (11i)?
Thanx.

Another weak point of Oracle Reports would be inability to export to Excel. Also, the lack of many standard functions readily available in Crystal. Also, Oracle Reports are vulnarable to small changes in layout model and can easily be messed up. However, the advantages of Oracle Reports are multiple and important. For example, it is not easy to write the value back to the database from Crystal, while from Oracle Reports you can do any manipulations on the database side. Generally, Oracle Reports is application development tool, while Crystal is a report writer.
I don't think it is possible to run Crystal Reports from the Concurrent Manager.
