. When using the search it is best to use the additonal kwoledge item "manuals". Otherwise you will just use the discussion groups and I think your question is too basic to find good answers there.

Try to look first into the Concepts Manual. If you have a shipped CD-ROM-set, you will find this also on the Oracle Documentation CD-ROM.
