Oracle Option

Hi all,

I am having difficulty setting up templates for NBU to use for Oracle. When I am going through the wizard, it gives me an error saying "Unable to list template files for (oracle) errmsg: invalid error number" twice, then when I click finish it says "ERR - Unable to save template file for (test.tpl) Errmsg: socket read failed".

The only other time I had a socket error in NBU was when I didn't have my hosts file set correctly so the master server could not communicate with the clients but that has since been resolved. I am running NBU 6.5.1 on a Unix system with a Unix Client running the Oracle DB

It turns out this was a permissions issue. For some reason the client was connecting to the master from a different IP than was in the "hosts" file. See article
