Oracle on SAN?

Is there any performance information for Oracle 9i running over a SAN switch? We currently have an IBM FastT500 with several EXP-700's and 2 IBM p650's direct attached, and we are looking at implimenting a SAN (McData or Cisco based) to expand access to multiple unix(AIX) and Windows based platforms and there have been some concerns raised regarding Oracle performance on a SAN switch on the p650's.
Any information or actual experience with this would be of great help.
