hI,

I'm trying to create an ODBC link to an Oracle database.
I have a windows 2000 machine and when i select Oracle ODBC driver, i get the following message:
"The setup routines for the ODBC DRIVER ODBC driver could not be loaded due to system error code 126"

If somone can help me overcome thsi problem it would be much appreciated.

Joe

Hi Robbie.

Thanks for your help.
Unfortunately your idea is not the solution as I am the administartor of this machine.
I have also discovered that old Oracle ODBC connections i made are not working today.

Make sure the path (environment var) is set correctly to your Oracle home and the java component in Program Files (see a fresh install for details)....

Thats the major problem I have had every time Ive depended on odbc connections. They just seem to "break" without warning... reloading mdac might fix it, or you might have to uninstall everything first and then reload mdac.. but next week it might all just break again....
