First- I am accustomed to MySQL and PHP with little/no Oracle experience.
I have set up an Oracle 10g learning environment on a SuSE 9 Enterprise Edition server. All is well and via the Enterprise Manager I can see all the various sample data tables included in the default install. What I can't seem to do is figure out how to access the sample data tablespace(s) from my iSQLplus logon. How do I change to a tablespace which is not my 'default'?

TIA,

-Allen

Hi, Allen

You can select like this:

SELECT *
FROM hr.employees

All you have to do is precede the name of the table with the name of the owner. In the example above, hr is the owner and employees is the table (Please forgive me if this sounds a little patronizing).
