Oracle Native Connection not available in Crystal 9?

Greetings,

I'm having a problem directing some 8.5 developed reports to an Oracle native connection in v9 Standard edition. I have searched both TekTips and BO support for an answer without much look.

However i did find one small article which states that 9 Standard does not allow connection to an Oracle native connection... an upgrade to professional is required. Can anyone confirm this?

Hi,
Yes..The 'standard' editions of CR can only connect to 'local' ( that is, in most cases, file-system based) databases..for any others ( Oracle for instance) at least the 'Professional' version is needed..
