I have access 2007. Our company recently got new pc's and they came with windows 7 and office 2007. We have linked oracle tables (11g) and I have tried to use both the oracle odbc connection and the microsoft one. When I use microsofts's it is dog slow; but when I use oracle's it can't seem to update oracle fields from access fields. But if I try the same update on a machine running xp prof with office 2003, it runs fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can't say that I have linked to Oracle or used Access 2007, but typically when you can not update a record it means that Access cannot determine a unique identifier for the record. Typically Access will prompt to specify the key if it does not know when the table is linked...

First try relinking the table and see if that helps.
