Oracle Jinitiator

Hi,

First off I am a Citrix person who knows nothing about Oracle so please go easy on me....

We have Citrix Metaframe XPe Sp3 FR3 on Windows 2003 servers (have tried 2000 too). We installed jinitiator 1.1.8.16 in /install mode and the first user to login works fine and the applet starts. When the second user logs in they get the following error message:

"The FormsLauncher failed to connect to the existing forms session properly. A modal window may be open in the existing forms session, or your session may have become invalid."

The first user who logged in get a message box up saying:

FND_FORMS_ICX_ID_MISMATCH

Any idea how to get Jinitiator working in multi user mode?

I'd welcome any suggestions (besides dont use Citrix as thats not an option)

Currently having the same exact issue. Did you get anywhere yet?

Try a later version of the Citrix client.

This issue has been resolved by upgrading to a version 8 client.

Hi,

Yes we did find a fix. There was an Oracle patch that needed to be applied to the Oracle database that enables it to work in a multi-user environment (ie Citrix). I found the patch on

http://www.metalink.oracle.com/

I think it was Patch 2924292, or more likely its successor 3293241.
