Hi, All,
I have been reading an intro book to Oracle 7 and from what I read there doesn't appear to be a 'user friendly' interface to it along ther lines of Access. Is this true of the later versions?

Hi,

There is so much to encompass in an Oracle
database that an Access like GUI front end
would be huge and likely restricting. There
are user friendly (using the term loosely)
interfaces for various pieces of Oracle both
from Oracle and various other vendors.

For administation there is Oracle's Enterprise
Manager. For SQL development there are a bunch,
I recommend Toad and SQL Navigator from Quest.
For interface building there is Oracle's Developer
tools.

Good luck.
