Oracle Installation problem in windows 2000 server 1

i am not able to install Oracle 8i enterprise edition in
my system [windows 2000 server]

what may be the pblm.

when i click setup button of oracle software nothing is happening.
setup window is coming

pl give solution
 

which Oracle version are you using? Should be 8.1.7 up.
 
This problem typically occurs when you are not part of the administrators group on W2K Server. If you're not either add yourself or have the administrator add you to the administrators group.
 
Insterd of clicking on the setup.exe, try to click on the autorun icon.

yeah do what Jonathan777 said... i had the same problem, go to the autorun folder

I believe Oracle has now got a patch ready?
 
This sounds like the infamous Pentium IV problem. If the computer you are trying to install upon is a Pentium IV, none of the Oracle JAVA tools (like the Installer) will run. I think this problem starts with 8.1.6. Oracle may have a patch for this, I am not sure (check MetaLink at the Oracle site if you are authorized to do so). However there are also some workarounds that work. You can check this link: faq186-1124, for a workaround.
