Hello Everybody

I am working as Oracle DBA in an organisation which
specialises in E-biz and Network Management Solutions.
Now as per policy decision they have decided to
specialise in Network Management Solutions. Earlier
I was working with E-biz.

As a whole I don't have any idea where DBA stands
in all kind of Network Management Systems. Ijust heard
that network products do use database in them but am not
perfectly aware of it. Company has informed to get updated on
network related database management, but i dont know
much about the database management in network devices (or products)

They also say that their network related products will
have Java and XML as the middleware. Do I have to go
for XML learning and will it be helpful.

Currently looking at slowdown I cannot afford to leave the
job so I am asking this. Has anyone been in Similar circumstances.
As career my aim is to become a successful project manager.
Can anyone guide me on this ? Please let me know what kind
of technologies I need to learn ?

Amol New to dba world, so please ......
