Oracle hot-backup reliable?

Can any of you tell me of your experiences with this extra Legato module. Is it worth purchasing?

although difficult to use, yes, we have proven it off-site at our disaster recovery facility and recovered ok.

We've had pretty good luck with this module using HPUX11. Done several test recovers successfully. If you're using an autochanger or silo make sure your Oracle client server is robust enough with a big enough pipe to push the data to tape quickly or the backups can drag. I'm the Networker admin but I let the Oracle DBA's handle changes to the client end of the module.
