Oracle error on sun-solaris 7.0

Hi

I am unable to connect to Oracle data base in sun-solaris 7.I get the following error.

ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE
ld.so.1: oracleD817NSME: fatal: relocation error: file oracleD817NSME: symbol log10: referenced symbol not found

What can be the exact error.Can anyone help me on this.thanks in advance.

This looks like some library path problem. Have you sourced oracle's environment before starting?

Hi,

Did you set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH Variable ?? This can cause probs with libraries if you dont set them in the environment of your oracle user.
