Hi,
Is there any method (other than creating a new profile with the timeout option set to what i want) where in i can control the time that Oracle allows an inactive session to remain ? I require this to happen :
Oracle gets a request for a session - grants a connection - allows connection to do all transactions - kills connection if it is inactive for more than 30 minutes.
I am deliberately avoiding the profile creation as this is giving "socket write... " exceptions after a while.
It might be mentioned here that i am using the Websphere webserver and all my connections are connections due to websphere only.
Hoping for a speedy solution,
Jayaram.
