I started a new job as a Systems Admin recently for an application development company. One of the sales people here asked my opinion on which OS would an oracle DB perform better on... Linux Red Hat or Sun Solaris? I freely admit that I am far from an expert on this topic so that's why I'm looking for any info or input. Unfortunately I don't have any details other than what I've stated here... just a general question. Thanx in advance.
