Hello I am an MS Access guy trying to learn Oracle 8. In creating a table what data type should I use for Memo type fields (as used in MS Access etc.).

Thanks,

Michael

It depends on how large you want the memo to be. Up to 4000 bytes - VARCHAR2; otherwise, try a CLOB (up to 4G, but a little more work to deal with).
