Am having difficulties connecting to oracle via the oracle client it was working before i installed the oracle enterprise manager and diagnostics pack<br>, i have sice removed the oracle enterprise manager and also reinstalled the client, i think the file name tnsnames is causing the problems. Can anyone advise? Thanking you.<br>

Did you use Net8 easy config to set up a service name? Maybe you should delete the service name you have and set it up again. I have done this and it seems to work fine. When you set up your service name test the connection using INTERNAL<br>ORACLE for logging in. Hope this helps. If not write back with your error messages and I'll do my best.
