Hi everybody
I have the problem that i get this message when running a map on the Merc 6.5 Event Server on Unix Solaris:

Failed to connect to the database (Error Code -1005)

When testing on my NT client it works fine !
On Unix i only changed the syntax of the connnection string and ad " ' at the beginning and ' " at the end !
So it looks like this:

"'-DBTYPE ORACLE -STMT Select * from table -CONNECT s1.mydomain.com -USER usr -PASSWORD pw -AUDIT -TRACE'"

With the DNSORA shoulb be everything okey, because once a map was running fine and could connetct to the db.

Do you know what's wrong or you have a running example string !
thanks
stiffler

I don't think you need the single ' around the rule.

Trace file is first place to start.
