ORacle backup via TSM

Hello Folks

We are trying to backup our Oracle DB using TSM5.1.5 . We are running AIX5.1.4 on a 6h1 . I get the following error

IBM AIX RISC System/6000 Error: 610: System call error number 610.

can you backup random files with TSM ? Or is it specific with RMAN that you have the problem when allocating a channel?Have you restarted your TSM server?

can you give us more information about it?

firstly, i'd like to check the error log and schedule log of tsm client - dsmerror.log and dsmsched.log after the error appeared.
please paste some and tell us more about your backup environment.

Sorry for taking so long to respond ... I found out it is trying to read the option file ... When I exec TDPOCONF SHOWenvironment the following appears :

/usr/tivoli/tsm/client/oracle/bin64==>tdpoconf SHOWENVironment

ANS0315E (RC610) Unable to open message text file.

I have removed and reinstall TDP_ORACLE5.1.5 ... Any suggestions .......

Hello Folks

I got the backup to run !!!!!! Needed the dsm.opt file in the /usr/tivoli/tsm/api/bin64 ...directory ...
