We have an application running against an Oracle database on a customer's site and for some reason cannot get Backup Exec to backup the database. It is backing up the drives fine, and through the selection properties of the job it can see each of the tablespaces, which should mean the remote agent is working.
The problem comes when running the backup we get:
==========================================================
Backup- ORACLE_ORACLE
V-79-57344-33928 - Access is denied.
Access denied to directory .
Access is denied to Remote Agent. Check the login account for the specified device.
==========================================================
This makes no sense to me as the remote agent can access Oracle when setting up the job. On another site the same setup seems to be working fine.
If anyone can provide any help/tips it would be appreciated.
Thanks
BTW, Backup Exec is 10d, Oracle is 10g, and archivelog is switched on for the database.
