Hi,
I am an oracle dba and found a job in apps dba. Any one how can tell me the difference b/w the oracle dba or aps dba.
Thanks

I've been going back and forth with our DBAs for years on this one. In my opinion, there is no such thing as an "Apps DBA". In addition, that appears to be what Oracle thinks too! If you look in their documentation, they say there are "DBAs" and "Applications Administrators". DBAs are responsible for the care and feeding of the database that the apps run on. Apps Admins are responsible for maintaining accounts, setups, etc. in the applications.
I think where the confusion comes in is that often the DBA and the Apps Admin responsibilities reside with the same people. Hence, "Apps DBA" usually means you will be the DBA AND the Apps Admin.
