Hi,

I have suggested that a new forum be created here for APEX - maybe it's not too popular just yet.

However, I believe that my question is fundamentally 'ORACLE' orientated, that's why I've placed it in this forum.

Please feel free to report it - if I'm in the wrong forum.

At my place-of-work, we have various Oracle based ERP systems, and Oracle APEX is to become 'standard' in order to replace MS Access for all end-users.

In general, can an Oracle installation link directly to one (or many) table(s) in another Oracle installation on the network - via whatever method (ODBC etc)?
(Much like MS Access 'links' DIRECTLY to external tables, spreadsheets, CSV's etc.)

All that I can find is 'export/import' of data between Oracle database installations.

I hope you get the gist of my question.

Any response appreciated.

Kind regards,

DarrylleS

Never argue with an idiot, he'll bring you down to his level - then beat you with experience.

You can create links between databases through which normal queries can be run.
