I am an Oracle developer.
I need to build a web interface to the database using Java. Now I have never worked with Java but since that is the preferred technology adapted by my organization I need to follow it.
I have absolutely no idea as to where to start, I have read a few books on Java and googled for "Java GUIs for oracle databases", but couldnt find any step by step giude to tell me for example how to create a button, or a text item.
We do not use MS Visual studio, but use the JDK provided by Sun.
Any help will be very useful and much appreciated.
