Hi

My report works off many tables, but one table must be used twice. When I try and add a field of the second instance of the table to the report I get the error "Failed to open a rowset" and "ODBC for Oracle - ORA-01792: maximum number of columns in a table ort view is 1000"
The report does not contain even close to this number.

Any ideas?

It might, it depends on the joins used, you may be creating a Cartesian product, and also the type of connectivity may be causing problems.

And please remember to post your software version with any posting about any software product.

So post what's in the Database->Show SQL Query, your Crystal version, and also you should be using the native connectivity for Oracle, not ODBC. Native connections are listed as Oracle Server. If you have an older version of Crystal, you should NOT be using the Oracle supplied ODBC driver for Oracle, rather the crystal supplied ODBC driver for Oracle.
