Hi
Hi

We're running oracle 8.0.5 on window NT 4 currently.

We are purchasing a new server which will install Windows Svr Ent 2003 with oracle 9i.

My Question is where this O/S will face any technical problem or conflict with oracle 9i.

Is there any thing to note or problems when migrate from oracle 8.0.5 to oracle 9i?

Any one running these combination can please kindly advise and share your view.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, as VRCatherine said, 9i is certified on all flavors of Windows. I have run 8.0 and 8i migrations to 9i on Windows with no problems. I just did schema exports from the 8x versions to 9i. You may also use Oracle's Migration workbench. I just like the simplicity of exp/imp.

Tell me how i can install oracle 9i in windows 98 and windows 2003 server

HI, In Windows 98 you are dealing with a non-certified database platform - so I would not recommend installing the database on that system - A 9i client can be installed however.
For both, the docs will explain how to install.
