Hi Gurus,

I have just installed RHEL 4 on one server. And we need Oracle 9i client on that to be installed. I downloaded the product from otn.oracle.com. Just wantedto confirm if anyone of you did thsi before. It will help me to configure.

The installable softwares are available in Disk1, Disk2 and Disk3. I have created Oracle user. And while executing Disk1/runInstaller --> Getting following output.

$ Disk1/runInstaller
$ Initializing Java Virtual Machine from /tmp/OraInstall2007-06-21_03-48-58PM/jre/bin/java. Please wait...
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Unable to load native library: /tmp/OraInstall2007-06-21_03-48-58PM/jre/lib/i386/libjava.so: symbol __libc_wait, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference

Is there any PATH information to be defined ? Please suggest .

Regards,
Sam

If you haven't done so already, I suggest you take a look at Metalink document 303859.1, which describes the requirements for installing Oracle 9.2 on RHEL4.
