I am trying to upgrade my computers to Oracle 8i client. I currently run Access 97 databases using Oracle for Windows NT (7 drivers). Upon loading Oracle 8i, I can still make an ODBC connection through Access to the data I link to. However, the databases themselves will not run. They just "hang up". Any suggestions? Does anyone know that the realistic hardware requirements to run Oracle 8i?
