I downloaded Oracle 8i personal edition from Oracle couple years ago on my Pentium P200 running windows98. Don't think it is a full Oracle 8i version as I want to simulate what I have at work which is Solaris unix and Oracle 8.1.7.
Reading Carol McCullough_Dieter's Oracle 8i for dummies book leads me to believe there is Oracle 8i full version for windows98.
If there is, I would like to get a copy somewhere so I can learn Oracle at my own pace. If not, my next option is to install Linux on my PC and go dual boot with Lilo to download and install Oracle 8i or 9i under Linux partition.
The hardest part I find is like Linux, to get the right Oracle installed on my machine. Once I have the tools and real thing to play and practise with then I can learn it very easily.
