Oracle 8i & Win2000 Adv Server

Good day ..

Brand new to Win2000 adv server and Oracle. I am upgrading my personal pc with Win2000 adv server and have installed Oracle8i Enterprise Edition. I am working towards becoming an Oracle DBA Certification (or plan to start around June 1st). I am curious is this will offer an acceptable training environment while learning the functional role and roles of an Oracle DBA? Will I have the same options and functionality with Win2000 Adv Server as I would with a Unix box? Any help is very appreciated .. again I am brand new in both environments.
