We are planning an upgrade from AIX 4.3.3. to AIX 5.1 (32-bit with an extension that makes it possible to run 64-bit applications). We are using Oracle 8.1.7. 64-bit.
Now we see that Oracle 8.1.7. 64-bit is not supported with AIX 5.1.
We think it is very strange that a current release of Oracle is not supported with an Operating System widely used in the marked. We just upgraded to 8.1.7 and we don't want to upgrade again.
Is there any-one who is also focussing this situation. We are interested in their opinion about this and what solutions are taken.
