oracle 8.1.5 compatibility 1

i'm working on windows 2000 professional platform.
when i want to connect to oracle 8.1.5 database i get error
"ora: 01034" or "ora:01033".
i can't connect to oracle through any other application like asp.this problem i do not face every time.

IS THERE ANY PROBLEM OF COMPATIBILITY OF WINDOWS 2000 PROFESSIONAL WITH ORACLE 8.1.5 ? DO THIS COMBINATION WORK FINE ?

I suggest you acquire 8.1.6 or 8.1.7 because 8.1.5 is not certified on Win2K.
