Crystal Reports 2008

How do we determine, on the database, which reports are calling a particular View, please? Isn't there a job that can be run to provide this detail?

Thank you,

hmax

There is not a function within crystal which does this. There are a number of third party products such as .rpt inspector which will do this for you.

Or you could write your own program using the SDK to pull this information.

True, Dell. On this current project, I'm not acting as administrator, I'm on the development side. Just searching for a sample to send along to the administrator because it can be done as you say, I don't have access to test things out, and I'm sure there's a generic query that is out there somewhere that I could provide to explain the concept.

.rpt Inspector is an excellent tool, as an alternative.

Thanks,
hmax

If you'd like some sample code, you can go to my website - - and look for the Crystal Documenter link. That will give you some sample code that walks through the properties of a report and it could be easily modified to get you what you're looking for.

That's awfully nice of you, Dell. Thank you so much for sending this along!
