I have 2 databases running in Oracle 9i on two different servers. I have an Oracle 10g database set up for RMAN for these 2 databases on a 3rd server.
On one database the RMAN command "DELETE OBSOLETE" works.
On the other database the I get kicked out to the command prompt after executing the "delete Obsolete" command. I can still backup the database but the "delete obsolete" and "report obsolete" commands kick me back out to the command prompt and I have to log in again.
This command worked fine for about a week or two after setting up the catalog and registering the database.
When it started I could issue the "Resync catalog" command and it would then let me run the "delete obsolete" command with no problems. Now the "resync catalog" command has no effect on the "delete obsolete" command.
Thanks in advance for any information.
