Hi

I looking for someone to help reconfigure Oracle Express for Linux.

The software was download and installed without error. However, when click on the icon "Go to Database Home Page", my browser returns an error message that the port setting is already in use.

I can get into SQL Plus, and so I know the database is ok, all I need to know is how to reconfigure Oracle to use a different port number.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks

You probably need to change

/etc/sysconfig/oracle-xe (Red hat / Suse)or
/etc/default/oracle-xe (Debian / Ubuntu)

Running
Code:
/etc/init.d/oracle-xe configure
is the preferred way to to change your configuration.
