I tried to install oracle 10g to windows XP sp2, the installation seems smooth, but after the installation is done, the OEM can't be opened in the IE, looked the service manager, the dbconsole service was started, what would cause this problem?

Thanks,

Hi. maswien

What are you typing into IE in order to start OEM? Typically, it should look like this:

(with ip address)

Or

(using host name)

You did not mention whether you are using Oracle10g Release 1 or Release 2. If it is the former than replace the 1158 used in the examples above with 5500.
