hi,

I am doing databases' backups on Windows and Solaris. This backups are done on Oracle Management Server with jobs. My backups on Windows are correct but backups on Solaris aren't correct. When I do a backup on Solaris, this job has failed status and it has the message: ORA-27040: skgfrcre: create error, unable to create file
Can somebody help me, plese?

Thanks.

Yarka, This Unix error typically occurs when the permissions on the path to which Oracle is attempting to write the backups does not have the correct "write" permissions. What is the name of the directory to which you are directing backups? ...and what are the permissions on that directory (do an "ls -l" Unix command on the directory that owns the directory to which you are attempting to write backup files)? Please post the results here.

It was the problem: the directory didn't have correct permissions.
Thanks SantaMufasa.
