ORA-1691: unable to extend lobsegment

ORA-1691: unable to extend lobsegment V500.SYS_LOB0000006527C00002$$ by 1024 in tablespace A_SMALL

I got this error, and I added ample space to it. The tablespace A_SMALL has 53% free space. It was 20% free when I got the error. So, I think I have to increase the extent..
How do you increase the extend of lobsegment or take care of this if adding more space is not the remedy?

Please advise.

If you know you have plenty of space, the likeliehood is that the space isn't in large enough contiguous blocks to use. Perhaps an alter tablespace <name> coalesce might help?

I want to be good, is that not enough?

Are you sure that A_SMALL tablespace is a good place to store LargeOBjects?
