ORA-12571: TNS: Packet Writer Failure

Installed Oracle 8.05 on Windows 2000 Pro SP2

Had this message when trying to test a connection.

Any ideas how to resolve?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Look in Listener.ORA.

Make sure that ADDRESS section is OK - the HOST name must be the same as the ServerName or use the IP number. Regards
